The Kateri Tekakwitha Rosary
This rosary was reverently hand-crafted, and I pray for its future owner through the intercession of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, Lily of the Mohawks ❀ It is designed with a mix of marbled turquoise beads and brown glittery beads fore your decades, inspired by the bright blue sky above, and soil of the earth below for those of us who love to seek and find God out in the rawest form of His creation. White roses are used for Our Father beads for each design in this collection, to remind us daughters of Christ the beauty and purity He placed in you! Each bead is individually threaded, linked together by hand-curled eyepins, with small chain links connecting the Our Father roses.
St. Kateri Tekakwitha is known for being the only one of her biological family (including both parents and her younger brother) to survive smallpox; it left her partially blind and covered her face in scars. Witnesses to her death report the scarring miraculously disappearing, and a small smile crossing Kateri's face as she passed. She was born in 1656 and was baptized at 19; she was canonized in 2012, just 37 years after St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first American-born saint. St. Kateri Tekakwitha, pray for us!
